Does Kevo fob work with Kevo convert?
Can I use FOBs with Kevo Convert? No. The FOB is a device that requires a Kevo Touch-To-Open Smart Lock.
What is Kevo compatible with?
Kevo is now available on iOS and select Android 6.0 and higher devices! Blackberry and Windows platforms are not supported at this time.
Does Kevo lock automatically?
Auto Lock functionality is only available for Kevo 2nd Gen products. The default setting is OFF for auto-locking. Remove your interior cover and locate the small switches on the back of Kevo. When enabled Kevo will automatically throw the bolt after 30 seconds.
Can you use any key with Kwikset Smart Key?
The Smartkey locks are only compatible with Kwikset factory-cut keys or locksmith-generated keys carefully cut to factory specs. If you try to set the Smartkey lock to a non-spec key (or even a poorly-made duplicate Kwikset key) you risk messing up the lock.
How does smart key work?
The smart key uses radio waves to “talk” to the matching vehicle containing embedded antennas that identify and confirm its presence. On some models, like newer BMWs (Comfort Access), when the key comes within 1.5 metres of the driver’s car, the door automatically locks or unlocks with a touch of the door handle.
