We had Site D-1, which is in one of the improved loops (water and electric hookups). We are tent campers, and there were several other folks in tents on Loop D, but also a number of RVs.
Is there a tent only loop at Killens Pond?
There is a separate tents only loop, Loop G, but it is farther from the bathrooms (latrines are by the Loop G parking lot) and you have to carry your gear in (They do have some wheelbarrow style carts there). Lovely park with a path all around the 55 acre lake.
Do you need a water park pass to go to Killens Pond?
Boat ramp available, Get your State Park pass and go again and again. Water Park available if interested, but not exciting. Crowded but refreshing. Met with a group under pavilion for event and was a wonderful day. Everyone enjoyed park and cleanliness. Will go back.

Lovely building w/ chairs outside to look at the lake. Down another path is the boathouse (not far). We rented a 2-person kayak & spent a delightful hour on the water, practically had the Pond (very larger, seemed like a lake to me) to ourselves on an August weekday.
