Does Kuiu run big or small?
I have found most KUIU runs small. Several years ago, I ordered a Chugach jacket in XXL. I generally wore XL but wanted to layer.
How do Kuiu pants fit?
They fit well, but are snug. As they are right now I don’t think I could comfortably layer much underneath unless they stretch a little as they get worn. Based on the fit, I ordered a pair of the Tiburon pants in 32 because I’ll only be using those when it is really warm and won’t need to layer.
How long are Kuiu pants?
The Kuiu attack pants in tall sizes have a 37” inseam…might work for you.
How do Sitka pants fit?
Usually the are pretty close to you actual pant size. If you’re getting the timberlines or the mountain pants I would get a size bigger just to be able to fit a base layer underneath and they still wont be to tight.
How should hunting pants fit?
Buy one size larger than the waist size you normally take. Same with the inseam. When I was a kid there was a fashion for “stagging” your pants–having the legs chopped off an inch or so shorter than normal so the bottoms wouldn’t drag through the mud and the blood and the beer.
Do KUIU shirts shrink?
The Kuiu polyester probably won’t shrink much at all, and if you dry it on too high of heat, might partially melt the fibers causing it to deform.
Should I size up in Sitka?
Like was stated above Sitka Gear is designed to be layered with its own system. So your base layers re going to be form fitting and even insulating layers will fit snug. The coats fit true to size for me. I always wear size large in pants but when I go to bibs I need to size up.
Does Sitka fit true to size?
Sitka is true to size, but I wouldn’t replace First Lite Gear with Sitka Gear….. especially not for base layers. I wear mostly Sitka now, but am transitioning to First Lite. I like Sitka gear but find I often need to size up, especially with shirts or jackets.
Do you need camo pants to hunt?
For ungulate and predator hunting of all types, camo is helpful but not required. If you’ll be bowhunting, camouflage becomes much more important. Similarly, good concealment may be more important for predators calling than for spot-and-stalk or tree stand deer hunting.

How do you wash KUIU?
Washing Your Gear It’s usually looking filthy and bloodstained, so I’ll completely disassemble the pack and wash the suspension and bag in a washing machine on cold, gentle cycle, with a mild detergent like our Grangers Clothing Wash + Repel. I’ll hang dry the pack to avoid any unnecessary wear-and-tear.
Do icebreaker shirts shrink?
Will merino wool shrink after washing? Merino is nature’s performance fiber, able to stretch and bounce back to shape. Writer Marie Knowles explains why icebreaker merino is durable and long-wearing and won’t shrink in the wash. Use a normal warm or cool machine wash cycle with regular powder or liquid detergent.
