Does Manic Panic leave a tint?
Not necessarily! If you have naturally light blonde hair or even a light brown color, there are some colors that can give you great results or a beautiful deep tint! Here are some of our pigmented shades that work best on unbleached hair.

Should I wash my dreads before dying them? It’s important that your dreads are well-moisturized because the dye will strip them and could fry them if they’re too dry. You can wash your dreads under cool water, but be sure to apply moisturizer, such as coconut oil or grapeseed oil, a day or so before you dye it.
Can you dye locs without bleach?
Those with light-colored dreads can simply use hair dye on them to make them darker, but there are ways to make them lighter without bleach. Spray your dreads with hydrogen peroxide to lighten them. Avoid getting peroxide in your eyes or on exposed skin.

A: The Attic’s general rule of thumb is to do a chemical step on dirty hair. We recommend also doing it on dirty hair. If you’re doing color like Manic Panic or Special Effects, you’re going to want to do it on very clean, VERY dry, UNCONDITIONED hair.

Dyeing Hair with Manic Panic We recommend you towel dry any wet hair before starting the dyeing process. Empty the desired amount of Manic Panic Hair Colour into a plastic mixing bowl (approximately half a jar for short hair, a full jar for longer locks).
