Is NCS 2021 Cancelled?
We are running NCS progammes in 2021 as follows: a 2 week programme, daytime only 9am to 5pm on weekdays. Due to COVID-19 this first week is TBC and all young people who book a place on thsi programme will automatically switch to the 2 week programme if COVID prevents us from running the residential week.
Does NCS look good on CV?

How old do you need to be to work for NCS?
How can I get involved? NCS is designed for 16 and 17 year olds. However, you can go on programme as a 15-year-old, as long as you turn 16 on or by 31 August of the year you apply for. If you have already turned 18 by this date, you unfortunately won’t be eligible.
How much do you get paid for working at NCS?
Salary approx. £1,242 – £1,656 depending on age. Roles available starting in June and July.
Can I get a refund on NCS?
If you change your mind and no longer wish to take part in NCS, you have 14 days from making your payment to let us know and we will give you a refund.
Do you have to pay for NCS?
How much does it cost? The cost of the NCS programme is £50 including transport, activities and accommodation.
Why is NCS good for your CV?
NCS provides young people with the opportunity to do things that they wouldn’t do in an everyday life. It provides them with transferrable skills, that they can put on their CV, use in college/ sixth form, and skills that they can use every day.
How do I add NCS to my CV?

Do NCS leaders get paid?
£1280 for the 4-week programme including the compulsory training weekend. A £30 payment will be paid additionally for any night duty whilst on residential. Keep warms and inductions prior to the programme will be paid at £8 per hour.

What is NCS team leader salary?
Salary: From £1500-£1950 Including holiday pay, (dependent on age) for a full wave. This will cover the following: Training & Induction, Phase 1: 5 days, 4 nights Phase 2: 5 days, 4 nights Phase 3: 60 hours of social action, across two weeks (Monday-Friday) Graduation: Ceremony held in early September.
